For my covid birthday weekend I had a lovely time. I got a black forest cake on the Friday. On the Saturday I got a fancy beer (very tasty), a Nintendo switch ( very fun) and a chocolate advent calendar. I had nice video chats on the weekend with all my family and Afsheen’s family too. On Saturday we took out a fancy meal that was quite tasty. I had elk osso buco and korean fried cauliflower. Afsheen has crab cakes and Pesto Elicoidali. We quite enjoyed it. From Afsheen’s sister I got a punny yeti card and a neat light kit. Afsheen’s parents gave me nice card and gift. From my parent’s I got a star wars card and some scotch glasses. The weather was as good as it gets in November. I didn’t have to shovel. All in all it was a lovely weekend. See photos below. Continue reading Birthday 2020 →

This Sunday on the May long weekend I decided to bbq some beef ribs. I took some photos of the process. I basically followed the directions from here: https://leitesculinaria.com/44707/recipes-barbecued-beef-back-ribs.html
For ingredients I just put a rub on that we had instead of the one provided. I also used hickory wood chips and smoked it some as it was cooking.
