For my covid birthday weekend I had a lovely time. I got a black forest cake on the Friday. On the Saturday I got a fancy beer (very tasty), a Nintendo switch ( very fun) and a chocolate advent calendar. I had nice video chats on the weekend with all my family and Afsheen’s family too. On Saturday we took out a fancy meal that was quite tasty. I had elk osso buco and korean fried cauliflower. Afsheen has crab cakes and Pesto Elicoidali. We quite enjoyed it. From Afsheen’s sister I got a punny yeti card and a neat light kit. Afsheen’s parents gave me nice card and gift. From my parent’s I got a star wars card and some scotch glasses. The weather was as good as it gets in November. I didn’t have to shovel. All in all it was a lovely weekend. See photos below. ...

This past weekend on Saturday we drove down to Red Deer to meet my parents for lunch. We had a nice visit. The weather was good. We had a nice spot in the park next to the Alberta sports hall of fame. We brought our own food and stayed a safe social distance away. We hadn’t seen them since last fall. See pictures below ...

This Sunday on the May long weekend I decided to bbq some beef ribs. I took some photos of the process. I basically followed the directions from here: https://leitesculinaria.com/44707/recipes-barbecued-beef-back-ribs.html For ingredients I just put a rub on that we had instead of the one provided. I also used hickory wood chips and smoked it some as it was cooking. See pictures below ...

On January 6th we left a cold Edmonton and took a flight to Los Angeles. After we arrived we explored Downtown Disney. We spent the days of Jan. 7, 8 and 9 in Disneyland and California Adventures. On Jan. 10th we had a princess breakfast relaxed and then headed back to an even colder Edmonton late at night. See below for my photos ...

Yesterday evening Afsheen and I went to the zoo to see the lights at Zoominescence. The weather wasn’t too bad and we had a good time. I got to try my new camera out and saw how different it is at night. See below for my photos ...

For Christmas it was just Afsheen and I and we had a nice relaxing time. On Christmas Eve day I made a beef brisket. It took all day so we didn’t get to eat it for supper but had it afterwards. It was quite tasty. On Christmas Day we saw the new Jumangi with Afsheen’s parents. It was quite fun. It was the second time I had watched it! The theatre was quite busy. Lots of people out watching movies. For boxing day we went to the mall fairly early and got some good deals on things. See below for some photos from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day ...
